Ch. Boucarut Côtes du Rhône – Irish Times Wines of the Year 2011

Dom. Caude Val Merlot – made by the very reputable Paul Mas group. Medium weight with lovely blackberry and vanilla flavours and a hint of spice – Irish Mail on Sunday.

Vina Pilar – It has excellent intensity of rich dark fruits with a subtle, leathery, meaty background and good length. Big enough but not a bully.  The Irish Times.
